Our railway sleeper effect concrete gravel boards are manufactured on site at our Derby factory, ensuring consistent quality, strength, and durability. Each board is wet‑cast using carefully selected materials to achieve a detailed finish that mimics the look of traditional timber sleepers while offering the long‑term performance of concrete.
Produced using a high‑quality mix of 4–10mm gravel aggregate, concreting sand, and 52.5N high‑strength cement, these concrete gravel boards are reinforced with 5.5mm steel rods to provide excellent strength, stability, and resistance to ground moisture and impact.
Gravel boards are fitted at the base of fencing to raise timber panels above ground level, protecting them from damp, rot, and insect damage and helping to extend the overall lifespan of the fence. Measuring 6ft wide to suit standard fence panels and 12 inches high, these boards provide a robust and practical foundation for fencing.
The railway sleeper‑style design gives a textured, timber‑inspired appearance which can be further enhanced by painting with brown masonry paint, creating the impression of reclaimed timber sleepers without the maintenance issues associated with wood.
This style of gravel board is made to order, so please allow 2–3 weeks for production.
